Orange Pocket: PocketAnything

PocketAnything lets you send any information from your desktop to your mobile phone.

PocketAnything integrates directly with your internet browser to let you quicky and easily send important information to your mobile phone. You can also install the optional Microsoft® Outlook® plug-in so you can send information directly from an email or a contact in Outlook to your phone.

Select your internet browser from the list below.

PocketAnything for Microsoft Internet Explorer®
PocketAnything for Netscape®

PocketAnything requires Microsoft Windows 95® or Later. You can now install PocketAnything on Microsoft Windows XP®.

To download PocketAnything, select the appropriate download and follow these steps:

  1. Click the "Download now" link. (The download will take approximately 1.5 minutes on a 56K modem).
  2. Save PocketAnythingInstall.exe to your desktop.
  3. Save your work in any open programs and close them, including your internet browser.
  4. Double-click the PocketAnythingInstall.exe on your desktop.
  5. The application will lead you through a wizard that helps you install.
  6. The wizard may ask you to reboot your computer when the installation is complete.
  7. You're done!

Upgrading PocketAnything
Upgrade your version of PocketAnything to add the Outlook plug-in!

  • You can upgrade PocketAnything on your computer by downloading the appropriate version from the sections below and following the regular installation procedure. You do not need to uninstall PocketAnything before you upgrade to the latest version.


PocketAnything for Microsoft Internet Explorer®Download now

PocketAnything requires Internet Explorer 4.x or later. The optional Outlook tools require Outlook 2000 or 2002.

PocketAnything for Internet Explorer & Outlook includes the following tools

  • Send to My Mobile button in your Windows system tray
    Click the Send to My Mobile button in your Windows system tray to launch the PocketCompanion .
  • Send to My Mobile addition to the context menu
    With information selected, right-click in your Internet Explorer window and select Send to My Mobile . The PocketCompanion opens with your information displayed and ready to pocket.
  • Send to My Mobile button on the Internet Explorer Toolbar
    With information selected in your Internet Explorer window, click the Send to My Mobile button toolbar button. The PocketCompanion opens with your information displayed and ready to pocket.
  • Send to My Mobile button on Outlook tool bar for an email or a contact
    Click the Send to My Mobile button to send the content of a specific email or contact to your mobile phone. The Outlook tools are optional. You can choose to install this portion of PocketAnything during the installation process.

To use Outlook to send emails to your mobile phone, you must complete a simple set up procedure. Instructions for completing this set up are in the PocketAnything README provided when your installation is complete.

PocketAnything for Netscape®Download now

PocketAnything can be installed with Netscape 4.x.
Note: Netscape 6.x is not currently supported. The optional Outlook tools require Outlook 2000 or 2002.

PocketAnything for Netscape & Outlook includes the following tools

  • Send to My Mobile button in your Windows system tray
    Click the Send to My Mobile button in your Windows system tray to Pocket information you have selected in your Netscape browser. The PocketCompanion launches with your information displayed.
  • Send to My Mobile button on Outlook tool bar for an email or a contact
    Click the Send to My Mobile button to send the content of a specific email or contact to your mobile phone. The Outlook tools are optional. You can choose to install this portion of PocketAnything during the installation process.
