  1. What is Orange Pocket?

    Orange Pocket is a free personal space where you can store the information that matters to you and easily access it using your Orange phone. "Send to my Mobile" links on many popular Web sites make it easy to send the Web content you need to your Orange Pocket. Each time you send something to your Orange Pocket, the key information is texted to your Orange phone, and the Orange services you need are placed at your fingertips, making your life easier:

    • When you're taking a flight, you can easily send all the details, including flight number, departure time and confirmation numbers, to your Orange Pocket. Then, wherever you are, you can check the flight status or call the airline with ease from your Orange phone -- without cumbersome typing! Orange Pocket gives you access to these related services with one touch.
    • When you're shopping for a used auto on the Web, you can send information about the autos you find to your Orange Pocket. Then, from your Orange phone, you can access reviews and insurance quotes, and even find other autos for sale that meet the same criteria!
    • When you're going out on the town, you can find restaurants, pubs, theaters and other venues using your favourite on-line guide, and send the details to your Orange Pocket
    • Or you can simply use your Orange Pocket to save ideas, lists and reminders.

    You can put any information you want to take mobile in your Orange Pocket such as travel details, addresses and phone numbers of places you're going, notes to yourself, and prices and details of products you are shopping around for.   3. How can I put information in my Orange Pocket?

    Here are some of the ways you can put information in your Pocket:

    • When you are browsing one of the many popular Web sites that have "Send to my Mobile" capabilities, simply click on the "Send to my Mobile" link associated with information that you want to save. This will text the information you need to your Orange phone, and store it in your Orange Pocket.
    • On the Orange Pocket Web site, click the "Add new item" link. From your Orange WAP phone, select the "Add new item" option on the Orange Pocket page.
    • You can also download PocketAnything, a small application that will let you send information to your mobile right from your Microsoft Windows desktop, and from applications that you use frequently, like Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook. Click here to download now .

  4. Which Orange phones work with Orange Pocket?

    Orange Pocket works with any Orange phone. When you click a "Send to my Mobile" link, the information you need is sent to your Orange phone as an SMS message. If you can receive SMS messages, you can use Orange Pocket! If have Orange WAP or an SPV, you can do even more with Orange Pocket.

  5. How much does it cost to use Orange Pocket?

    It is free to register for Orange Pocket on the Web or from your Orange WAP phone.

    When you use "Send to my Mobile" to send information and premium content to your Orange phone, and other Orange Pocket features that use SMS messaging, you will be charged for the text messages that are sent.

    When you access your Pocket using Orange WAP, you will be charged at your normal Orange WAP rate.

  6. Clicking "Send to my Mobile" links to send information to my phone is fast and easy! But what if there aren't links on the content I want to send to my phone?

    You can send any information from your Web browser to Orange Pocket by installing PocketAnything. PocketAnything adds a "Send to my Mobile" button to your Internet Explorer toolbar and "right-click" menu item that lets you select the information you want with your mouse and send it to Orange Pocket by clicking the button or menu.   7. I have contacts and information I receive in email that I would like to send to my Orange phone. How do I do that?

    Yes. When you install PocketAnything, an icon is added to the Notification area of your Windows Taskbar.   9. How long does it take to download the PocketAnything tools?

    On a 56kbps modem, it will take 1 to 2 minutes to download. On a 28.8kbps modem, it will take approximately 3 minutes to download. To download and install the PocketAnything tools, you need approximately 500Kb available on your hard drive. Click here to download now .

  10. Why do I need to choose a "type" when I enter information in my Pocket?

    By choosing a "type" when you enter information, such as "place" or "product", you can access additional information from your Orange WAP phone. For example if you enter a restaurant address as a "place", you will be able to get driving directions, find out what else is nearby, and access other services that are location-dependent.

  11. What do I do if I change my Orange phone number?

    When you change your Orange phone number, you can transfer your Orange Pocket to your new number by contacting Customer Service. Click on a support link on any Orange Pocket page and send your OLD and NEW Orange phone number, and request that your Orange Pocket be updated to your new phone number.

  12. Why do I need to create a password for my Orange Pocket?

    Your Orange Pocket password is used to access the information in your Orange Pocket from the Web. Since the Orange Pocket is currently offered as a pilot, this password is different from your Orange password. When you go to your Orange Pocket on your WAP phone, you will be logged in automatically.

  13. What if I forget my password?

    If you forget your Orange Pocket password, click the "forgot password" link on the sign in page. A new confirmation code will be sent to your phone as a text message. Enter this confirmation code within 20 minutes and you can reset your password on the Web.

  14. I registered for Orange Pocket and a confirmation code was sent to my phone. Why?

    You need to enter your confirmation code so that we can verify that you are the owner of the phone that you are trying to register. The confirmation code is valid for only 20 minutes from time of sending. If the code doesn't arrive, click "back" to confirm the Orange phone number you entered is correct. Entering your confirmation code verifies that you have your Orange phone with you and this is the number you want to use.

  15. How do I change my preferences?

    The Preferences page lets you view and change your personal information. You can access Preferences anytime that you are logged in to your Orange Pocket.

    Password To change your password, enter the old password and then enter and confirm the new password. This same password is used to access your Pocket from the Web and from your phone. From your WAP phone, you will only enter this password one time.

    Mobile Device Displays the phone number to which your Orange Pocket is registered. This number is used to identify you when you access your Pocket.

    OK Click "OK" to accept the settings as they are displayed.

    Cancel Click "Cancel" to return to the previously saved settings and return to your Pocket.

  16. How can I keep my information organized?

    Your Orange Pocket is self-organizing and the information that you used most recently is always available at the 'top' of your Pocket. In addition, you can create folders and move pocketed information into those folders.

    To create a folder, click the "Create New Folder" link in the top left of your Pocket web page.

  17. How do I send an item in my Pocket to my Friends?

    Click the "Send" button next to the item that you would like to send. Select the Friend from your list of Friends. Click "Add Friend" to add a new friend to your list. Use Ctrl+Click to select multiple friends from your friends list to receive the Pocket item.You can enter a note you want to add to your Friend's Pocket item if you wish. Click "Send" to send this item to your Friend and return to you Pocket, or click "Cancel" to cancel and return to your Pocket.

    If your Friend has an Orange Pocket, they will receive the item as a text message and it will also be added to their Pocket. If your Friend does not have an Orange Pocket, they will receive the item as a text message.

  18. How do I send a Folder to my Friends?

    Click the "Send" button next to the Folder that you would like to send. Select the Friend from your list of Friends. Click "Add Friend" to add a new friend to your list. Use Ctrl+Click to select multiple friends from your friends list to receive the Folder item. Click "Send" to send this item to your Friend and return to you Pocket, or click "Cancel" to cancel and return to your Pocket.

    If your Friend has an Orange Pocket, they will receive the folder as a series of text messages, one for the folder itself and one for each item in the folder. and it will also be added to their Pocket. If your Friend does not have an Orange Pocket, they will receive the folder as a series of text messages.
